The Loader is responsible for loading and unloading company’s trucks, third party trucks, and the activities within the fence of the parking lot. These initiatives may include backing up trucks to dock stations, loading customer orders on to the trucks, supports the Transportation Supervisor and all teammates in the company, supports with coordination to ensure that all customer orders get delivered in a timely manner. The Loader will report to the Transportation Supervisor. The incumbent must have initiative to execute all projects assigned by the direct supervisor or other management. The Loader will have the opportunity to demonstrate leadership abilities and teamwork.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Loads and unloads shipments as required; constant lifting of boxes weighing up to 60 pounds each
Loads trucks according to truck mapping and special instructions
Loads product in a manner to avoid damages and maintain load stability to ensure driver safety
Wraps pallets by machine or hand to insure stability
Unloads and cleans out trucks as necessary
Operates stock trucks and mechanical jacks throughout the facility constantly in a safe manner
Prepares products for shipment under general supervision by weighing, handling and transporting as necessary
Hand loads product onto trucks as required. Pushing and pulling of pallets with pallet jack
Marks, addresses, loads, and packs product for proper delivery and condition
Picks up, loads and unloads damaged goods and customer returns, and completes necessary paperwork
Unloads product from trailer, by hand or using hand cart, and places in designated customer storage area
Complies with all safety regulations and standards
May include transporting product down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions
Maintains and safely operates all assigned equipment, including but not limited to hand cart, pallets, load bars, and personal protective equipment
Maintains sanitary conditions in tractor and trailer, assists with maintaining sanitary conditions in the warehouse and yard and proper handling of product.
Assists transportation supervisor
Works all shifts and weekends when required
Must past DOT physical
Possess leadership and initiative to drive projects effetely and in a timely manner
Drives trucks that contains a box up to 30 feet
Drives standard transmissions
Attends all required company meetings

Education: No specific educational requirements; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Valid drivers license, 1yr experience in loading & unloading trucks and 1yr of forklift & pallet jack experience.
Language Fluency: No specific language requirements; bi-lingual English/Spanish fluency preferred.
Technology: No specific technology requirements; basic computer and keyboarding skills preferred.
Licensure: No specific licensure required.
Credentials: No specific professional credentials required.
