Maintenance Technician - Jefferson, GA


This position will be responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the Organization’s goals and objectives. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager. The candidate must have initiative and be self-motivated to accomplished all assigned tasks.

  • Performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility’s equipment
  • Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
  • Performs simple machinist duties and responsibilities
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and repair production machines for any mechanical, electrical pneumatic, hydraulic, and as required
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests and makes adjustments
  • Performs regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
  • Takes on a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
  • Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
  • Detests faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
  • Complies with safety regulations and maintains clean and orderly work areas
  • Adheres to Company’s policies and procedures
  • Other duties might be assigned by management
  • 4-7 Yrs of experience of maintenance in the manufacturing environment
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Completion of a craft apprenticeship or an equivalent education in a related field
  • 4+ Yrs of Hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial knowledge
  • PLC and HVAC experience
  • Up to 5% travel required
